right like it's incredibly hard to on the verge of impossible to lose weight and keep it off and fat shaming doesn't help people lose weight at all, that was the point and we finally have a way to lose weight that works way better than anything that's come before and people don't know how to act

body positivity was never supposed to be about loving the fact that you’re fat (though if you do, that’s fine) it was to say that fatness isn’t a moral issue and I’m also tired of people treating people who want to lose weight as sellouts to the culture (or I guess fascism in this case)

GLPs have really scratched at anti fatness in this country in a lot of ways - including the need of straight sized people to become thin so that they can continue to feel superior but I’m tired of handwringing pieces that don’t acknowledge what a miracle drug it is for people who truly need it
