And that's not necessarily a bad thing. Comfort food is comforting for a reason. For example, I'm still delighted whenever I hear the opening riff of Fairytale. But there are songs and acts that excite me more in 2025 (and I know that my taste is not that of everyone in Europe)

Tattoo wasn't revolutionary. But I would argue that Loreen's performance skills manage to elevate the material. Look at all the variations of Euphoria she's done since 2012, or her astounding winner's reprise in 2024. I can't think of a time I've heard Mans surprise me with Heroes.
