Can we also recognise that rampant sexism is extremely common in primary-age boys, especially re: football, maybe because it is one of the few performances of masculinity (in their eyes) they can enact & control at school. Girls who play football have already had to overcome a LOT of crap.

Related, should also acknowledge that their accusation of "cheating" assumes boys are inherently better at football... (my experience with local kids football is that the 'mixed' team - in reality all boys - made my daughter feel so unwelcome that she left and joined the girls team)

No child should be made to pray during the school day. The legal requirement for schools – even schools with no religious ethos – to have daily acts of worship should end.
