Had Arday exaggerated less and made up his quotes instead of plagiarizing, nobody would have noticed—this type of research is simply not falsifiable. But what does this all say about academic standards in Cambridge, sociology, and education? It is no wonder academics are losing public trust.

'Some have argued that Arday has come under unfair levels of scrutiny.' I love this argument. As though he should have been scrutinised, but not to the extent of uncovering anything incriminating.
