this hits. the worst part is that once the loudest client learns it works, every request becomes an emergency. a written intake process isn't bureaucracy, it's the thing that protects your actual focus.

This is such an important leadership distinction. When every decision escalates upward, the issue is often not capability. It may be unclear ownership, unclear authority, or a system that has taught people to wait. Better decisions usually begin with better conditions for deciding.
