little bit of personal news -- today is my last day @honeycomb.io. it's been a really exciting three years, and it's a great team over there, but it's time to take a step back and reflect on where i can have the best impact.

Will do! It’s been great so far. Looking forward to doing a bit of chaos engineering to see how it feels troubleshooting with it more. Worked great helping me shift to make the Postgres template board work with CNPG based clusters last night. Much easier than remapping by hand.

Finally moved the homelab to @honeycomb.io and the o11y 2.0 gains for agents hype is real. Game changer using it with an agent. Fixed a weird tracing issue with like 2 prompts with Claude (using the skill/MCP) to review, find and fix.

We're working on it. There were a few spec changes recently that will improve the observability situation. This year I also want to write a few more docs on how to properly do o11y with MCP - the work of @lizthegrey.com and @charity.wtf is going to be a good point of inspiration.

When this nightmare is over and if (big if) I ever visit the US again, Minneapolis is the first place I'll go.
