EVs are awesome. I have a Hyundai Ioniq 5, which has a range of 300-350 miles. I charge it at home, which is convenient, and it costs me about $10 to completely recharge the battery. (84 kWh at 12 cents a kWh) Compare that to a similar size gas car, at 25-30 mpg, which would cost $54 to fill up.

Just for context my partner and I have tracked a McLaren, gotten hot laps of Laguna Seca and drove manuals for years. After getting an EV we kept a manual German car and in the end it just collected dust. Neither of us wanted to drive it anymore than we wanted to ride a horse and buggy 🤣
