My take is that it’s stupid AF. I’ve read that Musk’s method of innovation is to come up with all kinds of ideas, most of them stupid or batshit crazy, but to have sane people around him to tell him why most are bad ideas. I’m guessing he’s either fired those folks or stopped listening to them.
