When I was a kid I found a guy whose dog had fallen through ice on the canal. The guy broke the ice and waded out (foolhardy). But then he hurt his back pulling the dog out of the canal, so I handed over my plastic sled and we pulled the dog to a nearby house for help. I'd forgotten that until now!
Show PostWith Baxter it was rope toys. They just vanished overnight. I didn't know what was happening until little bits of orange string started coming halfway out when he was crapping. Only halfway, mind you. I had to help them the rest of the way, pulling them out of him like poo bunting.

Mine decided earthworms were missing from his diet, and as part of his culinary experiment chose one that was still attached to a fishhook. The FIVE resulting surgeries cost me the price of a small car. Good boy, Baxter.
