(Mastodon *does* have the issue that if Instance A blocks Instance B and you're on Instance A, you can't see the posts of people on Instance B, but at least in that case somebody actually made a decision)

As far as I'm concerned it doesn't matter where Link's data is, the man is still banned. This is not an issue Mastodon has so I can only conclude that this is an issue with AT Protocol and the existing applications that use it, and, thus, that Bluesky PBC intentionally designed it this way.

*I* use the Bluesky App View, because due to issues with the entire model of federation around here, it's the only place I can reliably see 1) who follows me 2) who I follow 3) what people, including me, are posting This means I can't see AJ Link because Jay is mad a Black man talked back to her.

In particular, because Bluesky central issues bans at the level of its App View, any measure taken by Bluesky central to exclude me will be effective in preventing me from reaching the 99% of Bluesky users who continue to use the Bluesky App View, and will likely do so forever
