I have put my other Swift evolution proposal concepts on hold. Language changes require enormous effort on my part and I'm afraid that I just don't think I can justify the time like I once could. It was great fun and hope to return to them one day!
Show PostSE-0540 is now finally merged! This was a fun one to work on and not as hard as I feared going in. Not quite sure if it will make it into Swift 6.5, and may be a while before it's practical to adopt anyways. But cleaning up all those settings in package files will be very satisfying.
