Thursday, On Crossland's lake today, 4 Ruff (also on Reed-bed), 4 Redshanks, Dunlin & juvenile Pectoral sandpiper. Also there, female Pintail & 19 Eygptian geese there, A Short-eared owl in the reserve centre, eventually flying to Cell 'B', Greenshank (East Holm), Black-tailed godwit (Village lake)
Show PostProbably a two or three a month visitor, today was that day on Crossland's lake with a brief visit from a Great white egret. A very quick circle around, brief landing & then away it went to the west
Show PostA nice distraction on Crossland's lake was watching 4 Redshank & 'hanging on' Dunlin returning to the lake after on the many 'dreads' (understandable) as a Peregrine was about in the East Holm oaks
