That's the thing. Most countries form by conquest. Wars were fought for spurious reasons and then celebrated. Injustice created opportunities. You're damn rare if all your ancestors were noble, brave, and always on the right side. All we can do is try to be on the right side of history in our time.

In U.S. history, some white people were enslavers & other white people were abolitionists. White people like JD Vance who think teaching about America's history of racism shames white kids should explain why they think white kids will associate more with enslavers than with abolitionists?🤔
