Anything you get, and that example is not you getting something, is something that happens by luck and not as part of an agreed exchange. So, again, you voted for someone and asked for nothing in return.
Show PostNo, it's just you trying to squirm into an endless pool of semantics to someone justify your opposition to the notion that Dems should earn votes.
Show PostFair enough! My mistake, apologies. So what this very clearly says is that a candidate must earn votes, not that every vote delivered is earned. For someone accusing me of semantics, this is remarkably deep in semantics.
Show PostThat first quote appears to be something you've made up. A candidate should earn votes. That doesn't mean everyone who votes had their vote earned. Plenty of people give them away without asking anything in return. Which is bad, by the way.
Show PostNo, it's not. It's just me understanding what words mean and how voting works. I agree that Dems do not earn votes by simply being less evil, which is why I think they should try to earn votes.
