Tired of seeing people non-consensually film/photograph folks with visible addictions in order to prove a point, or worse, for entertainment. How would you feel? People are people, and people in vulnerable situations deserve dignity.

Standup Maths guy said something I noticed about my own experience - we now have to decide if we care about the result or the process. For vacations, I want the process. I don't want to skip the process and get the gift shop souvenir. For doing my income taxes, I want the result. I hate the process.

Standup Math guy said we don't care if the thing is true or false, we care about the math that was discovered along the way. Another math guy said clanker proofs are not humanly consumable (10,000 pages of lean), so true, but not useful.

Math isn’t really like poetry or painting, imo. Math is the language we use to understand the natural Universe. The underlying structures of nature existed long before humans. Galileo famously wrote that the grand book of the universe "is written in the language of mathematics." AI is mimickry.
