Mine have definitely not tried this, in fact they are repelled at the idea that they have not always been the best parents anyone could ever have despite 2/3 of their children being no- or very low contact and all of their children having moved thousands of miles away

Just like the connection between patriarchy/paternalism and rape culture the line from abusers at home DARVO and social/political DARVO seems like a straight one to me and many people grew up being told their abuse and manipulation was not abuse and was in fact normal or not a big deal.
