there are indeed multiple hints at your capacity to perform violence in the game and you are never given that chance for the simple fact that, like the dialogue choices in the game, no matter what you do or say, you made the choice the moment you pressed a button and said "I can't do this anymore"

it's funny you noticed the car hood bit. We actually were originally going to have several moments in the game you can kill hitman, then farmer says 'nah' and time rewinds and you realize you were experiencing it all in his head, but that was too expensive to do and probably better left behind
