I'm on strike this afternoon, along w TEU members nationwide. Not a long strike, but I hope symbolic of our resolve. I've been an academic for a decade. My pay has increased by less than inflation *every single year*. My professional staff colleagues are underpaid & denied clear career progression.

Yes. And other small business owners, who are natural National supporters, have also been caught in a spiral of rising costs and reduced customer spending that’s driving them out of business in record numbers. The hurt is more widespread than usual.
