Show PostLong form work - meaning you're outlining/researching a novel or nonfiction work. One I did was for a book on a specific period of naval history, and it helped organize timelines, references, and miscellaneous papers into a working outline that would have taken days to put together by hand.
Show PostI also use it to help with the dark fantasy series I'm writing by organizing world-building, timelines, grammar, structure, and looking at continuity and logistics. It's a very helpful tool to support your creativity, not create for you. Its own ideas are pedestrian, and it often forgets itself.
Show PostThat will be a question every author will have to decide for themselves, but for me, AI can save days of work in the logistics of putting a long-form text in order. As long as it's not creating for you, but facilitating the logistics of what you have created, let it be another tool in the toolbox.
