It’s funny that New Yorkers have a reputation for being rude, because my (admittedly limited) experience is that people there are very friendly and helpful, if sometimes loud and abrupt. Maybe it’s because I’ve lived in a big city, but there’s a difference between “don’t suffer fools” and rudeness.
