I get there's a tendency for English speakers to focus on Anglosphere countries, but the UK is really quite anomalous when it comes to attitudes towards continental Europeanism. England specifically has always (undeservedly so) seen itself as different and exceptional.
Show PostIndeed, & the culture within Continental Europe is radically different depending on where you are. Portugal is different to Italy is different to Greece is different to Poland, etc. You're broadly right though, Pan-Europeanism is much more common on the continent than it is in the UK for instance.
