iirc it all actually started with her falsely accusing legal eagle of plagiarism on twitter, hbomb pointing out her own real plagiarism, she (poorly) tried to disprove it and people came out with stories of her shittiness only after she made herself a laughingstock of the internet

now to be fair the man youtuber who was a confirmed plagiarist got his career ended as well, arguably even harder than the woman youtuber, whose channel at least still exists

The framing of this as a gender issue seems naive at best and bad faith at worst. Someone who is actively profiting from stealing and harming people in the process of making content shouldn't be allowed to make content. It's a punishment that addresses the crime, so to speak.

I'm trying to process complicated thoughts about a situation which has hit me different to anything else recently, and I am trying to understand perspectives like yours. I don't understand what a life with no power over anybody else looks like. I don't think that exists outside solitary confinement.
