It's really infuriating to be told "cyclists don't follow the rules" in Southern California where as a driver if you go the speed limit and make full stops at stop signs, the driver behind you will go into a full on psychopathic temper tantrum.

Just got home from a meeting about a street re-design (if you're a neighbor it's the South Main St project), and I have to say I'm impressed that the general public seems to feel traffic is too fast and that the city isn't doing enough to address it.

I am not going to lie. I absolutely LOVE passing drivers multiple times, especially if they punish pass me like I am slowing their important journey. Driving aggressively in most urban and suburban zones has zero upside and they fully deserve to be reminded of that.

Today we installed a ghost bike for Juan Martin Márquez at Archer and Laramie. The driver who killed Juan is still at large and we aren’t sure why.

Another person was killed at this exact location recently and not a single elected official attended this vigil - even though the alderman’s office is *directly* across the street.
