This is the fairest take possible I think. I respect Jacob for owning up to his mistakes here, but I wouldn’t blame anyone for not wanting to engage with his content ever again. Yes, people do grow and change, but nobody is owed a platform. Also, I really hope the victim doesn’t get outed.

I believe you when you say that you've grown past that version of yourself and that you would never do something like that again. I also believe that personal rehabilitation does not necessitate forgiveness or acceptance. I wish you the best, but will no longer engage with your platform.

This is such a desperately sad situation. Obvs first thoughts are with the victim, having to sit with this for years while your abuser lived his dream and became hugely successful must have been awful. I’m sure a lot of people (including me) who have followed him for years, feel complete betrayed.
