Today, a Short-eared Owl landed on my car! Watched coming in high from the east on my survey site in SW Lincs (having crossed the North Sea in recent days?), it eventually touched down for a second before seeing me and carrying on. Magic! 👀 A male Hen Harrier was more aloof #lincsbirding #ukbirding

Exciting times at Clifford hill GP when I discovered the first American passerine for Northants, American Buff-bellied Pipit, as something about this pipit looked strange. Probably my best bird find ever. Many happy birders today. Jack snipe was in the same area. #northantsbirds #ukbirding #PWC2026
