I feel it’s safe now to talk about this leopard seal that was on a Christchurch beach back in September - gorgeous isn’t he?? He was quite little though, maybe ~7 feet. And, sleepy. And contrary to popular belief, we have resident leopard seals here in NZ! 🦑🦊🧪🌎

Once upon a time 3 wks ago we checked little penguin nest boxes & found a way-too-big egg inside one. Curious. Weird. Trickery? Who knows. Mystery didn’t last long - following week we found this paradise duck far too proud of herself AS SHE SHOULD BE but invading a penguin home nonetheless 🦉🌎🧪🦑
