Earlier this month, CIRES and NOAA researchers spent 2 weeks in Houston conducting a Texas air quality study. They loaded instruments that measure air pollutants and trace gases onto a NOAA hurricane hunter aircraft — and they participated in research flights 🛩️

@noaa.gov's GOES-19 satellite captured a great view of "cloud streets" surrounding Florida! That colder air this past weekend met the warmer air off the southeast coast, leading to consistent rising/sinking air creating those rows of cumulus. Loop: @cira-csu.bsky.social #Florida #clouds #weather
