Before, really not that long ago, I would let sadness define me and would react to sadness by doubling down essentially. That impulse is still there but I am resisting it, putting myself out there, and I will keep doing that.

I think probably right now I am in the best place I've been in mentally and emotionally my whole life. Which isn't to say things are perfect, I still struggle with depression and there are things I am definitely sad about. But I've never felt better equipped to push forward.
