Ngl global trade is an area that shows that a lot of “progressive” and “liberal” Americans are just as ignorant and xenophobic as most other Americans. You can be labor protectionist but people act like Slovak or South Korean car factories are modern day slave plantations.

I’ve been saying that I think if we pass M4A we will create the biggest anti-government backlash in the country’s history becuase it will *inevitably*, in the absolute best case scenario, lead to everyone directly blaming the government whenever they’re denied any treatment they want
