I've been testing out using slip for the color, which is more efficient than using a lot of underglaze. It seems okay during that phase and after bisque, but I think the higher temps are making the slip flake off. Not ideal. Might get my ceramic dudes fired in the mid-range going forward?

Trying to make Osphyllus' voidsent in a small dragon form. It's based on those dragonfly enemies in Coerthas, and that one SGE weapon that looks like insect wings. (I did not make the wings before the main him got bisqued and must do that soon o_o)

The voidsent is based on a villain I made for a previous campaign. He was a dragon dude being piloted by a sentient fern, and here he's a little parasitic dragonfly. :D

my thoughts of making ceramic dudes… The clay I usually work with is meant for cone 10 firing, so mentally I feel obligated to get it fired to that temp. This is not always the best option though, since some underglazes burn out or thinner parts of the clay are susceptible to breakage.
