But this is hardly a clean bill of health for the ethanol plant. Per @envirointegrity.bsky.social, Alto Pekin has repeatedly violated its air pollution permits. And in 2022 it reported the 2nd highest acetaldehyde (probable carcinogen) emissions of any industrial facility in the US.
