I was inspired by this story of a PhD student who retracted her paper because she found a critical coding error. This is the right thing to do, but it takes courage. She won the Ctrl Z Award celebrating scientists who discover errors and correct the record. www.science.org/content/arti...

We need more institutions like the American Academy of Pediatrics to stand up and fight for science and medicine. Pediatricians are the best of us in the house of medicine, our backbone fighting to defend all of us and doing it with sunshine and rainbows and silly flashlights on their stethoscopes.
