Ryland eyed them with disappointment, “I did not take you for the fearful type.” She smirked, “I’m not.” Her fire circle had simply been a distraction. Flames lit up all around them, closing them both in as she let the smaller circle around her die.

“Frack. You.” Her power lashed out, sending the vampire flying back to crash into the side of an old barn. The second she sent him flying, she created a circle of fire around herself. Good thing too, it only took him an extra second to come zipping back, stopping just outside her flames.
