Here's a commercial-scale thermal battery (hot rocks!) that is providing heat at 1800C, which is what you need for processes like steel & aluminum. Industrial heat was one of those "difficult to decarbonize" sectors until, y'know, we tried. Get in, loser, we're electrifying everything!
