@elliethecatto.bsky.socialDon't treat yourself so harshly, it's hard to see the improvements you go through when you are in a creative slump, but every picture you make helps you become better. You learn new things, experiment, sometimes doesn't turn out great, and sometimes it's the best work you did!! Keep at it!
Show PostAlso don't worry too much about the golden ratio, it's a tool among many others. I think the important part is for you to put thought in the placement and composition of a picture. It's not really something i can teach you through text but there is guides out there. Or look and study your fav pics!
Show PostLooks good and lively! I think past this point, it's mostly in the details. I would swap big ducky with the ducklings to "balance" the points of interest better, and I would add water lilies on the left edges, placed in an arc to frame it nice and pretty. Good job ;)
Show PostI made a mockup of how I would go about it. By placing elements around the golden ratio, you lead the eye in a way that feels natural. And with the help of the rule of three, i separated the cliff from the sea, and the sea from the horizon. And it leads to a naturally pleasing image!
