So much of the anti-woke vibe shift was just a demand by abusers and their allies that the victims of abuse shut up already, laundered into politesse by magazine editors
Show PostI take it there's some concern about the allotment of seats in the House of Commons. Worth noting that, on a strict measure of seats versus population, Ontario is *underrepresented* in the House — and that Quebec is only slightly "overrepresented."
Show PostI also think the answer to "yes" on the rest of the questions reveals what Indigenous people already know - a person can vote against separation, wave the flag of Canada, be patriotic, and still be deeply bigoted, racist, anti-Indigenous, and anti-immigrant.
Show PostI'm very glad that voters in Alberta resoundingly defeated the question on separation. Voter turn out among First Nations broke records. But to be clear, First Nations were voting because Alberta is Indigenous land. And separatists don't have any right to do this without First Nation consent.
Show PostFrom @davidcoletto.bsky.social, and this does make me feel better. This is a wipeout of explicit Alberta separatism
