all things considered, I would have preferred that the ideal version of Anthropic win: a single, responsible, well-intentioned organisation that is sufficiently pragmatic in its deployment to maximise the good and minimise the bad that ideal version does not exist, and there are no easy answers
Show PostI don't feel great about the real Anthropic being a US defence contractor/its China belligerence/its lock-in/etc but I also think even less of most of its competitors, and the race will pull everyone down to the lowest common denominator was it possible for it to have gone any other way, really?
