It is awesome that eLife published @profdata.bsky.social's paper & that you highlighted it, but I don't think the claim is hyperbolic. Howard Eichenbaum makes a great case in this paper: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28389238/

Good. As a developmental biologist, I've always found the co-opting of "cell types" by systems neuroscience to be an abomination
