My followers on X are dropping by the day by 30 or so and the writing’s on the wall. I’ve enjoyed my time there, but I’m very much in favour of the Xodus. I’ll be there for a while yet, but my daily beautiful cricket grounds will now only be posted on Bluesky and Instagram.

These days tours end with a coach to the airport hours after the final match. It wasn't always so. Here the 1926 Australians depart Paddington for Liverpool to catch a boat home. This was October 1st, almost seven weeks after the final Test and a fortnight after their last game
