I didn’t go online until 2000. My dad got dial up (worldwide wait). I distinctly remember feeding my obsession for Botch, Cave-In, Keelhaul, Knut, Discordance Axis with visits to the Hydra Head website. Lots of printing off and compiling of info 🤓

We got our first computer, an IBM Aptiva, in December 1995. The following summer, my parents got dial-up internet and a second phone line. I was nine-years-old. One of the first websites I found is still up with intermittent updates: mmhp.net

Genuinely didn't go online until I had to for my Computer Science degree- didn't have internet at home & had no reason to at school at the time (Encyclopedia Britannica did some heavy lifting for my A levels haha)
