Tomorrow, And Tomorrow, And Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin: "adventure fiction" apparently. Real world/relationship-based. Wellness by Nathan Hill: TOO REAL, "Millennial fiction," tech dystopia, relationship-based. His other book The Nix was great too.

The Glass Hotel and Sea of Tranquility (in that order) by Emily St. John Mandel: I don't know how to describe these ones but Sea of Tranquility has time travel and gets a little sci-fi. Cult Classic by Sloane Crosley: light magic realism but more real-world than all the others listed here.
