Today, an elected representative Black man -- a Senator -- performed an astounding feat, obliterating the record of an awful racist, segregationist remnant of the civil war (set whilst trying to defeat the Civil Rights Act of 1957). It was perfection.

There was simply zero need for masked, armed, unidentified agents to kidnap Rümeysa Öztürk off the street. It was a blatant intimidation tactic by an authoritarian administration, plain and simple.
