Huh. I am just about to vote in CA and was inclined to vote yes — I’ve had a *lot* of burns over CEQA in my work around public health and especially drug use and homeless services. But I’ll take the time to read more on this position, so thanks.

Prop 45 *specifically* excludes California High Speed Rail from CEQA reform… which is super sus and earned an automatic No for me.

Where ballot props are useful is when they express the will of the people against a hostile or fearful legislature. Think abortion rights, gay marriage, legalization. But also simplier choices for voters. Not insanely intricate law that even lawyer in that area struggle to comprehend and explain.
