very frustrating they didn't coordinate to extend the protected bike lane north if they redid the sidewalk! the corner at Bancroft and Oxford is already set up for it...

Also they fade away quickly. At least here in Chicago. All the painted lanes are gone within a few years. And that stuff ain’t cheap

I'm a huge thermoplastic hater. We spend millions making roads smooth and then put down bumpy markings all over the bike lane! It's even worse in Oakland because they also add scooter stencils in addition to the bikes, so there are twice as many.
