I'm among the many (many!) Polygon people getting laid off today. I really really really loved getting to be a TV editor, and I hope to do it again soon (in some form; writing/editing/social/homepage/copy editing/what have you!). Not much else to say beyond: open for work and hire all my colleagues!

i wanted to collect links people are posting to good polygon-adjacent sites + ways to follow/support folks who've been laid off from there - almost certainly extremely incomplete but maybe it'll be helpful? haunts.neocities.org/polygon

I am no longer with Polygon, my home for nearly 13 years. I am proud of what my colleagues and I have accomplished over that period, and I am especially proud of the role the @voxmediaunion.bsky.social and @wgaeast.bsky.social played in it all. Organize. Now. I am immediately available for hire.

I have been laid off from my job at Polygon (while traveling no less). Ill have more to say next week when I’m home and had some time to process but one thing I know is true: Polygon has/had the most incredible crew of talented, thoughtful, creative people and I’ll always cherish working with them

I'm guessing this was probably a scheduled post that was created before this morning's gutting of your company. I feel bad doing it but now that you all are in the midst of becoming an AI slop farm, it's time to unfollow. RIP Polygon, I'll be missing you
