Thank you. You and @boulezian.eurosky.social are two people whose judgment I highly respect. I'd thought about going for the last lower slips place tomorrow, but I think I'll give it a miss, in view of an early flight on Thursday. Higher hopes for imminent Mazeppa in Frankfurt and Heliane in Essen.

I wasn't sure if it had a malfunctioned because he had to wrestle it a bit ... Still thinking the set was a little too Chernobyl the TV series but Klingsor's Flowermaidens were a little too Britney Spears ... Altho this is what happens if you sit too close, to see Christian Gerhaher’s Amfortas

I didn't hear laughing but I was a bit amused by the spray of blood, from my seats it looked a bit monty python ... ... The thing I did like the singing in the second act but in the first act the animatronics form actually did make me want to laugh ... It was like a bad Muppet or Spamalot skit

Yeah, I can't sit on the sides at the Almeida anymore for much the same reason. I find myself unfortunately glued to the side wall at the Donmar because I'm just not spending £70 for the fringe. Not that £50 is better. I'm done with standing there, esp after my fight with some 3 year old FOH person

Do you know, I erased the start of a sarky comment about the new regime and sightlines having got worse! I still go a lot (skipped a lot too) and usually sit behind a pillar, but boy oh boy not all restricted view tickets are equal now. One even came without a view once. A Seat Without A View.
