True, but having lived among (and been enticed by) them earlier in my life, a large proportion of them are simply oblivious to the role that taxes play in their daily life. But yes, many also simply think anyone who uses tax revenue is just a "taker" that leaches off "hard-working people".

Anti-tax movements are, at their core, simply people that don't understand how society works and are resentful that it imposes any demands on them.
