I think we can conclude at this point in history that Sony has not in fact learned from the PS3

In the past, Sony had a technology driver at least. The PS2 was the first DVD player for many Japanese households, which is primarily who Sony cares about. PS3 was the first bluray. I think the PS5 was the first native 4K? So unless they plan on introducing 8K, hard to see what the selling point is.
