Not quite. Resveratrol promotes heart health, decreases inflammation, and is neuroprotective. Flavanoids lower LDL, raise HDL, and aids in blood pressure regulation. Antioxidants eliminate free radicals. But some red grape varieties offer these benefits without the negatives of alcohol (ethanol).
