My #Durham friends might be interested to know that today, 17 October, is 680 years to the day since the Battle of Neville’s Cross. The Scottish king, David II was captured after hiding under a bridge near the battlefield. Scottish prisoners were held in Durham Cathedral for a time. #OTD
